Boo at the Zoo is Saturday, October 26 & Sunday, October 27. The last weekend in October come show off those creative costumes and celebrate Halloween at Boo at the Zoo!
The Zoo will be decorated in spooky (not scary, for the little ones) decorations and will be full of entertainment and activities including pedal tractor rides, spooky crafts, and hayrides through the Zoo. You can also paint on our monster mural, explore the boneyard graveyard, hear a phoophie tale, or get a tattoo at our Tatzoo Parlor.

The 2013 Lenexa Chili Challenge will take place on October 18-19 in Old Town Lenexa (at the corner of Santa Fe Trail Drive and Pflumm Road). Each year, about 190 teams compete in two divisions: Chili Appreciation Society International (C.A.S.I.) and Home Style Chili. Contestants also compete in the Salsa and Hot Wing contests.
Chili contestants arrive on Friday afternoon to begin setting up their booths. The festivities include live music and entertainment, fireworks, games and activities for all ages. The contest begins Saturday at 9 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m. with the announcement of the winners. Admission is FREE both days. Click here for more information.
